Compared with that in the apical portion of the control group and basal portion of the experimental group, expression of AT1 mRNA and protein was downregulated significantly in the apical portion of the experimental group from three days after vagal stimulation, but expression of AT2 mRNA and protein in the apical portion was upregulated from one day after vagal stimulation.
