A significant (P < 0.05) negative correlation existed between age and alanine aminotransferase (ALT) or ALT/AST (aspartate aminotransferase). The epicardial fat has a significant (P < 0.05) negative correlation with either apolipoprotein A (Apo A) or high-density lipoprotein (HDL) but a significant (P < 0.05) positive correlation with either age or Apo B/Apo A. The central line indicates linear fit and the circle indicates the bivariate normal ellipse (P = 0.95)
