WHO criterion: insulin resistance (defined as type 2 DM or impaired fasting glucose (> 100 mg/dl) or impaired glucose tolerance) plus two of the following: (1) abdominal obesity (waist-to-hip ratio > 0.9 in men or > 0.85 in women, or BMI > 30 kg/m2, (2) triglycerides ≥ 150 mg/dL, and/or HDL-C < 40 mg/dL in men or < 50 mg/dL in women, (3) systolic blood pressure/diastolic blood pressure ≥ 140/90 mmHg, (4) microalbuminuria (urinary albumin secretion rate ≥ 20 μg/min, or albumin-to-creatinine ratio ≥ 30 mg/g). Data were shown as OR (95%CI) which was evaluated using logistic regression models
