From: Extracellular vesicles derived from endothelial cells modulate macrophage phenotype in vitro
Detection of TLR4–NFκBp65 in NR8383 macrophages upon stimulation with E-EVs. Western blot analysis was used to determine the expression levels of TLR4–NFκBp65 in NR8383 macrophages treated with plain PBS, ELPS-EVs, or ENor-EVs for 24 h. TLR4 and p-NFκBp65 expression levels were standardized by GAPDH. The protein level significantly increased (*p < 0.05 for TLR4 and **p < 0.01 for p-NFkBp65) upon stimulation of NR8383 macrophages with ELPS-EVs. Contrarily, no differences were concluded in the protein expression levels after ENor-EVs stimulation when compared to PBS (p > 0.05). n = 3 replicates were used.
